Interview with Sabine
What have I learned the most?
When I dared to leave old paths, bravely faced new challenges because I felt drawn to an exciting task or a situation with a positive perspective.
Why did I become a trainer / consultant?
25 years ago, I started developing and conducting training concepts at a cooperative bank. After my transition to a German private bank, I further qualified as a management trainer & coach through internal and external training and accompanied a wide range of change processes in this large corporation.
I feel a deep joy in accompanying people in their (personal) development. Learning myself, listening to people, and giving them space for their content motivates me every day. I appreciate the moment when my counterpart entrusts me with their confidence. As a personnel developer, I support my clients to act consciously and intentionally.
What project is waiting to be realized?
In the near future, I want to create a raised bed for vegetables & herbs. I enjoy the practical, earth-connected work with my hands and look forward to preparing regional and seasonal dishes with the garden products afterwards.
What is particularly close to my heart?
I have experienced that in difficult situations, I can adopt a new perspective that allows me new outlooks. Staying true to myself and being authentic while doing so is important to me.
Who / what can I not stand at all?
When I encounter people with disrespect and boundarylessness, ignorance, and narrow-mindedness.
What experience has shaped my career as a coach the most?
In my teaching role as a teaching coach for team development, I meet consultants, coaches, trainers, psychologists, therapists, HR managers, and executives with a lot of diverse experience. Learning with them, sharing my own experiences, and adopting different perspectives enriches my own work and allows me to continuously develop. I am very grateful for that.
