Interview with Sarah

What have I learned the most from?

From all the situations where I jumped into cold water, with a lot of curiosity and confidence in my backpack and the vague feeling that it might be right and important to do this now. Only to then - sometimes quickly, sometimes later - realize how valuable these jumps have been.

Why did I become a trainer and consultant?

I am fascinated by turning essential dials with people in their professional and personal development, as it usually involves important matters, changes happen, and movement is created. I also enjoy process-oriented work: capturing my clients' concerns, understanding them thoroughly, deriving suitable interventions, and then implementing them. There is so much in it!

Which project is waiting to be realized?

I am reluctant to push things in front of me... Maybe this mini-project: to read the good magazines from my work context, which regularly flutter into the house, in peace.

What is particularly close to my heart?

Sincere encounters, unbiased and respectful observation, appreciating the “good reasons” of my counterpart, getting to the point, facing life's challenges with humor and serenity. Glasses that are more half full than half empty. And my family, my wonderful kids, and their unwavering “Power of Now.”

Who / what can I not stand at all?

I do not like double messages and lack of transparency - I advocate for naming things as best as possible, as they present themselves. And I also dislike it when “others” are devalued because they are so “different” (than oneself..).

Which experiences have shaped my career as a trainer and consultant the most?

One of the most beautiful experiences for me is when an opening occurs in a conversation or consultation - where trust is built and the truly significant topics come to the forefront and get moving.
And I find it great that the topics I work on as a trainer and consultant are also so relevant for my personal development. I feel like I am learning on many different levels and can connect things - a real gift.
