Interview with Tina

What have I learned the most?

I have learned the most when I have taken self-determined paths, when I have tried and dared new things, when I have allowed myself to make mistakes and go through "dry spells," when change has occurred within me and expanded or sharpened my perspective. The steepest learning curve was my first years at a large international consumer goods manufacturer, characterized by many new challenges, a hunger to tackle and get started, and the desire to grow. The trust that my first leaders gave me, combined with the attitude of "challenge and support," provided the best conditions for that. This leadership attitude is still a great role model for me today.

Why did I become a trainer / consultant?

Even during my studies, I started designing and conducting training sessions with a friend, also outside of my rhetoric and communication trainer training. The collaboration and exchange with the participants energized me and confirmed that there is a "sweet spot" here ;-). Throughout my HR experience, in various change projects and reorganizations, I learned to look beyond individuals towards team and organizational structures and the larger corporate context. Certain topics can only be initiated and sustainably changed through larger levers within the organization. Supporting people in identifying these levers and measures for a successful transformation excites me.

What project is waiting to be realized?

A crossing of the Alps next summer.

What is particularly close to my heart?

Of course, my family: my two daughters, my husband, our dog, my parents, my brother with his family, my in-laws, and my sister-in-law with her family in Sweden, not to mention my close friends. It is also important for me to have plenty of movement, nature, inspiring books, and a good glass of wine ;-).

Who / what can I not stand at all?

With people who have a negative aura, who take little personal responsibility, are deeply stuck in their victim mentality, and blame others for everything. I find interaction with them paralyzing and very draining.

Which experience has shaped my career as a coach the most?

From my school days, I remember long conversations with friends who appreciated my listening skills. In my studies, the accompanying training, and my mediation training, I was then confirmed: I have always been fascinated by how language and interaction can touch and activate the consciousness of others, allowing new perspectives to emerge and independent problem-solving to become possible. The systemic coaching training then provided the perfect framework for this curiosity and passion during my first parental leave. The 1:1 coaching work, as well as working with a team or the leaders of an organization, offers me the intensity of being challenged in contact and communication, as well as the variety of being able to learn new things.
