Goals
After this seminar, you will not be a fully-fledged team developer or process facilitator, but you will have the tools you need to become a full-time team developer or, as a manager with a feel for teams, create significant added value for your employees and your company. You will learn and experience what a team needs to function at its best. If you pay close attention, you will probably experience the limits of what you can influence in teams and your own personal limitations as a team coach. This is a good thing, because a portion of humility before the wealth of relationship dynamics in teams and the occasional (in)effectiveness of your own behavioral patterns is appropriate.
At the same time, you will experience and reflect on the group process in your training group. You will receive feedback in your role as a team coach and reflect on possible role conflicts in your everyday professional life and begin to fill your personal toolbox.
Contents and Guiding Questions
In this seminar, you will experience everything live. You will recognize team dynamics, develop intervention options and implement them directly in the group of the parallel seminar “Group dynamics - you can't go against it!”. You will experience the success or failure of your approach at first hand.
- Contact – How do I get to my assignment? How do I deal with the wealth of individual goals and concerns and bring them together well?
- Process and roles – What group roles are there, what significance do they have and how do I strengthen them as a team coach? How can I promote real understanding and good decisions in the team?
- In contact – What attitude will make me successful as a team coach? How do I recognize whether I am in good contact with the group? Which of my typical behaviors and preferences tend to strengthen contact, which weaken it?
- In conflict – How do I deal with difficult team members? What if I myself come into conflict with individuals? How can I deal with and use conflicts in the team?
- If I am the leader of the team and want to coach – How do the roles differ and how do I make it clear to myself and the others which role I am currently in?
Benefit for your Company
Use this seminar if you want your managers not only to lead teams, but also to coach them, i.e:
- have a finer feel for group dynamic processes,
- have the confidence to intervene at the relationship level instead of just managing via objectives, measures and to-do lists,
- are not just arbitrators or decision-makers in team conflicts, but also process facilitators and coaches of high-performance teams.
