Development on Demand

The demands on talent development professionals and HR managers are also rising accordingly: they must quickly and precisely provide development and consulting services for individuals and groups within their organizations. The world is hungry for quick solutions, for inspiration, impetus, and smart, original questions. The new generation naturally seeks and finds inspiration, training, exchange, and advice online, learning and communicating synchronously or asynchronously at unusual times of day and in unusual places.

However, true development and deep learning—when it comes to ingrained attitudes and behavioral patterns—take their own time, and that is usually slower than our everyday pace. Personality, relationship, and team development require face-to-face encounters, respectful confrontation, skillful personal feedback, and intensive self-reflection. We are convinced that this cannot be replicated online or in brief training sessions.

Janus as your Full-Service Provider

As your full-service provider, our first step is to get to the bottom of your needs—or those of your internal clients (if you are an HR professional). This means working with you to identify the actual needs, pinpoint effective levers, and then design precise development steps tailored to your specific circumstances.

We do this with a keen interest in your situation and your initial assumptions, with professional humility (we, too, sometimes feel uncertain given the abundance of possibilities), on equal footing, and occasionally in a way that may be uncomfortable—but never condescending.

Our name for this: Development on Demand. We respond quickly to changing and individual needs, stimulate learning motivation with cleverly scattered learning nuggets, and provide readily available, high-quality training (both in-person and live online formats), as well as team development, facilitation, conflict management, and coaching services. Our in-house leadership curricula and compact seminars can be quickly adapted to your specific needs. Where appropriate, we supplement our work with one of the proven personality typologies, such as LIFO, MBTI or INSIGHTS.

Blended learning: offline and online learning, effectively combined.

In-person training remains indispensable for all Janus topics, even in an increasingly digital age. At Janus, it’s all about deep self-reflection and genuine interaction with others.

However, to convey theoretical concepts and support your individual learning, we also offer tailored seminar modules in digital format. These modules are used to prepare for and follow up on in-person sessions, make efficient use of time between course modules, or integrate personalized learning units into an overall curriculum. This is how blended learning makes sense to us: as an effective and efficient way to tailor individual learning to the specific topic, your own pace, your (life) situation, and your personality.

Coaching: Making an Impact Through Your Personality

Janus coaches will work with you on your goals, perhaps questioning your initial objectives and challenging you to see things from a different perspective. They will offer you new ways of looking at things, give you feedback, and ask you probing questions. They will consistently stand by your side while also serving as advocates for your perhaps still-hidden talents, your true calling, and—if you so desire—your deepest longings. They will understand—and, if necessary, modify—the way you connect with others and with yourself, communicate, and resolve conflicts.
Along the way, you will likely become more relaxed, focused, incorruptible, clear-headed, and—friendlier.

Typologies: MBTI, DISG, INSIGHTS & Co

Diversity is a major issue in the business world. It is a reality in our world. It presents a great opportunity. And it is often a real problem—namely, when communication breaks down. Personality typologies attempt to simplify this real diversity to some extent and make it more manageable.
